AD HOC ENSEMBLE
Francy Acosta, voice – José Luis Posada, guitar
EnsAmble Ad–Hoc was founded in Colombia by Francy Acosta and José Luis Posada. Interest in the ability to better approach the music they performed brought them to the United States where they pursued graduate studies in music. Originally, this ensemble performed primarily Early Music repertoires. In 2010 they prepared a special program of traditional and popular music from Colombia to commemorate the bicentennial of the country’s independence; ever since they have been presenting this and similar programs, extending to other Latin American countries. The repertoire Ad–Hoc will present at Caracol as part of Poesía en Abril includes pieces from Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil.
Poetry-inspired art and music in the Burnham Wildlife Corridor, just North of the Margaret Burroughs beach at 31st Street.
